Courtney Thornton didn’t expect her mother’s request when she told her to try soccer as something new in her life. Courtney had never played soccer before and it made her nervous.
Courtney began kicking the ball four years ago at the local league. The excitement of winning makes her feel happy. When losing, she gets upset but then she forgets about it quickly. Courtney is a really fast runner that enables her to go pass by people faster. She plays for fun and is willing to keep her motivation up by not giving up. When playing, she not only learns soccer skills, but to be friendly, fun, and determined. The effort Courtney puts in every game, is like the effort she puts when she’s about to take a test.
Courtney traveled to England for a tournament where she felt excited.
