Miley Cyrus Died

Miley Cyrus died on July 18th during her concert at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Tennessee when she fell off stage and broke her neck. She died instantly.

The concert honored the 20-year anniversary of her father’s song “Achy Breaky Heart”. Line dancing to the song, seventeen year old Cyrus did a spin move and tumbled off stage. The 35,000 fans in attendance fell silent. The once excited and lively crowd seemed to die along with Miley. A fan sitting in the first row exclaimed, “I have loved Miley since like forever! Seeing her fall of stage like that was the worst experience of my life. I don’t know how I will go on with out her.”

Parents worry how the event will affect their children’s psyche. “Miley was a good influence on my child, and now that she is gone, the only memory of her my child retains is one of death and pain” says one mother.

Miley Cyrus was born on November 23, 1992 in Franklin, Tennessee. Originally named Destiny Hope Cyrus, she always smiled as a baby and was nicknamed “Smiley”. “Smiley” was then shortened to “Miley”. January 2008 she legally changed her name to Miley Ray Cyrus in honor of her father Billy Ray Cyrus. Miley was one of six children. She loved cheerleading, riding horses, singing and playing guitar.

Miley first appeared as Hannah Montana when she guest starred on the Disney Channel’s “Suite Life of Zack and Cody”. Disney Channel viewers loved the new star so much that Disney gave Miley her own show, “Hannah Montana”, which gave her the opportunities to become both an actress and a pop singer. In 2008 she ranked number one on T.V. Guide’s Top 10 Young Star Count Down.

Miley wrote over 100 songs, some of which she performed on “Hannah Montana”. Her musical inspirations were John Mayer and Elvis Presley. She looked up to her Godmother Dolly Parton, and aspired to be as successful as Dolly.

Miley once said, “There’s no right or wrong, success or failure. I don’t look at things in black or white. My life wont be a series of either/or’s-- musician or actor, rock or country, straight laced or rebellious, yes or no. The real choices in life aren’t that simple.” Miley’s brother Trace said, “I’m proud of my sister and her accomplishments. I know, that given more time, she would have reached higher heights in her career and life.”

The public memorial in honor of Miley Cyrus’s life will be held at Disneyland in Anaheim, California. Ticket distribution details are still being worked out for the memorial on Friday, July 23rd.
